The mission of the YSBC @ BC is to address local and global problems by developing and implementing creative, sustainable, and profitable business solutions that have social impact creating new value.
The YSBC @ BC helps students acquire changemaker skills that employers now seek: ethical leadership, creative thinking, empathy, hands-on experience, problem-solving, team building, and an entrepreneurial spirit – and, you get to be involved with the only Yunus Centre in the U.S.A.!
YSBC internships allow students from any major to gain valuable insights in to the philosophy and principles of social business through participation in field trips, entrepreneurial seminars, place-based projects (local or global), and speakers. If you want to make a difference in the community, or in the world at large, this internship is for you!
Internships are customized to fit the needs of your professional interests. In general, interns will work in our new Colleen C. Barrett Center for Global Leadership performing:
- General administrative duties
- Website design
- Event planning
- Interaction with community and global partners
- Participation in the Yunus Social Business Design Lab
- 150 hour field experience/place-based project development
- Participation in weekly seminars with instructors
