Ted Richards Engages Students and Faculty in Re-imagining Education

Yunus Social Business Centre @ Becker College hosts a talk from Ted Richards, founder of Chicago Wisdom Project

Ted Richards, founder of the nonprofit Chicago Wisdom Project, engaged students and faculty on Nov. 2 to create compassionate communities by re-imagining education. In front of a standing room only capacity crowd at the Center for Global Citizenship, Richards challenged the way classes are taught by introducing radical transformations such as free independent thoughts with respect to humanity, as opposed to obedience and conformity.

“We were privileged to have Ted Richards engage our hearts and minds and teach us how to explore social challenges from a holistic perspective,” said Dr. Debra Pallatto-Fontaine, Executive Director for Global Initiatives and Yunus Social Business Centre @ Becker College. “Richards’ philosophy aligns with our mission to help solve social issues and transform lives through divergent thinking.”
